This blog is about what happens on the field trips that will occur throughout the course of the year whilst photographing birds on the Mid North Coast of NSW Australia. Migratory waders are counted locally and will be photographed and documented for the national bird count. The latest pics from these trips will be added to my portfolio on silvavaughanjones.com

Pelican Island Summer
The numbers of Wimbrels and Eastern Curlews at Pelican Island have been good again this summer. Getting out in the boat for the count is always a pleasure but the holidays still bring the fishing boats which don't ever seem to notice the needs of the waders. Dave's canoe is still the best mode of transport for photography.
